Marketing Strategies for The OR Society

At the Operational Research Society, we undertook an extensive project from conception to completion. Our work encompassed diverse areas including Membership Promotion, Event Promotion, Merchandising, and Marketing Material Execution.

We were also instrumental in promoting training courses, outreach initiatives like Pro Bono work and educational programmes, and maintaining the Society's website and apps. Our involvement extended to committee meetings, presenting plans and results to stakeholders from academia, government, and various industry sectors.

"Effective charity marketing doesn't just

raise funds; it raises awareness,

engagement, and trust."

"The heart of charity marketing is telling a story

that resonates, inspires action, and fosters a community of support."

Engaging University Students

Our focus on engaging university students involved creating captivating designs for careers open days, exhibitions, and talks.

We tailored our designs to resonate with the younger demographic, ensuring they were not only informative but also visually appealing and motivating for those considering a career in operational research.

Enhanced The Designs Of Printed Materials

Our work encompassed the design and distribution of a 32-page monthly magazine, along with various printed materials such as flyers, brochures, and reports. We focused on gathering compelling content and managing the distribution process efficiently, always mindful of budget constraints.

Additionally, we prioritised sustainability in our printing choices, ensuring that our materials were not only informative and aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible. Each piece we created was a meticulous reflection of the Society's activities, values, and insights.

Created Engaging Social Media

In developing the Operational Research Society's social media strategy, our primary goal was to build genuine engagement. We shifted the focus from self-promotion to celebrating our members and their achievements. By prioritising content that resonated with our members’ interests and needs, we cultivated a community-centric platform.

This approach not only increased our follower base but also fostered meaningful interactions and discussions, turning our social media channels into vibrant hubs for the operational research community.

Transformed & Modernised Their Event Marketing

Our event marketing strategy covered the entire spectrum from promotion to actual event attendance. This included crafting promotional materials, promoting ticket sales, and executing marketing materials at events to ensure each event was both well-attended and memorable for participants.
